What is Microdosing?

Microdosing involves taking small, sub-perceptual amounts of psilocybin to enhance well-being, creativity, and focus without inducing a full psychedelic experience.

How our Microdosing Program Works

  • Participants schedule a 30 minute preparation session (in person or online)

    • Preparation sessions must be scheduled at least 24 hours prior to the first microdose visit

    • Not required for anyone who has participated in a macrodose session within 12 months

  • After the preparation session, participants can schedule microdse sessions

    • Session time slots available every 15 minutes between 6 AM and 8:45 AM

  • Frequency of sessions will be determined by the facilitator and participant and can vary

  • Walk-ins will be welcome on a limited basis

Important Guidelines:

  • First-time visitors must stay for 30 minutes

  • Subsequent visits require only a 15-minute stay

  • Participants must have a safe transportation plan for after their sessions

    • Details are discussed during your preparation session ​

Do I need to prepare before microdosing?

  • Yes, preparation is crucial. Before starting, participants are required to attend a preparation session to:

  • Learn about the process and set clear intentions

  • Discuss any health concerns with a facilitator

  • Understand dosage, timing, and expectations

  • Fill out required paperwork for safety and planning 
     

What is a typical microdosing schedule?

  • There are several varying guidelines and recommendations when it comes to microdosing. We follow a one day on, two days off, one day on, three day off protocol. There is no specified "right way" to micrdose, but generally effects have been shown to be most beneficial by dosing at least two days a week, for a period of one month. Some individuals may require longer- listen to your body and pay attention to your symptoms/experiences to best determine how often is right for you.

Will I feel high when microdosing?

  • No. Microdosing involves sub-perceptual doses, which means the effects are subtle and should not interfere with daily activities. Most people report feeling enhanced focus, creativity, or calm without noticeable intoxication.
     

Who should not microdose?

  • Microdosing may not be suitable for individuals who:

  • Are pregnant or breastfeeding

  • Have a history of severe mental health conditions such as psychosis or schizophrenia

  • Are taking certain medications that may interact with psilocybin

  • It is a good idea to consult with a professional (facilitator or healthcare practitioner) before beginning 
     

What should I do on a microdosing day?

  • Start with a clear intention or goal for the day

  • Avoid alcohol and other intoxicants

  • Stay hydrated and eat nourishing foods

  • Reflect on your experience through journaling or mindfulness practices

Are there any risks to microdosing?

  • While generally considered safe at low doses, risks can include:

  • Unexpected emotional or physical sensitivity

  • Interactions with certain medications
     

How much Psilocybin is in a microdose?

  • Generally a microdose is between 1 mg to 2.4 mg of Psilocybin/Psilocin

    • Roughly 0.1 to 0.3 grams of dried Cubensis mushroom​​

Will the Microdosing Café expand to other days of the week beyond Monday and Thursday mornings?

  • Potentially, as this is a new program for our center more days and times may be added based on customer demand
